Weed and Feed

we've hired someone
to cut the grass

for so many years -
one of the Musketeers

would keep the yard
in pristine condition

this year:

I spread the weed
and feed Ian told
me to buy --

he was right -

the grass looks wonderful

most of the dandy-tigers
have disappeared -

and the bruised grass
blades have recovered
quite nicely

ironic how kids teach
us stuff -

Ian was schooling me
in the fine art of
landscaping --

while I was crafting
my own version of the
"weed and feed"

for life
